Father of the Bride Wedding Speech Tips With Example

The father of the bride wedding speech is the most waited for speech in any wedding occasion. After all, it him who have the privilege of spending more time with the daughter and hence he is more likely to know the joys and pains of loosing of wedding her off. Most wedding parties know only this too well, and therefore awaits that speech with batted breath. Ideally, the father of the bride wedding speech should be in a conversationally tone, much more like a wedding ceremony speech made off head.

As the first person to speak, and assuming that he is the one who is catering for the wedding costs, the father of the bride wedding speech should incorporate a welcoming message to the guests. At this point the brides father can acknowledge people present in the wedding like the grooms parents, specific family members and other invited guests. The second section in the short wedding speech should be geared at thanking everyone present for attending the wedding of the daughter. Remember that the father of the bride wedding speech should make every one present to feel appreciated for sparing time for the wedding.

Further, the father of the bride wedding speech should give people in attendance a glimpse of the daughter’s life. Here, he can tell the whole life story about the brides childhood days, her special features and contribution to their family and all the good things that the daughter is worth. Because the wedding is a joyous occasion, the wedding ceremony speech should be written in a lighthearted manner. The father of the bride wedding speech should also include details of the man marrying the daughter. This not only consoles the daughter in knowing that the father actually took time to know her husband, but also serves to let the groom know that the bride’s family appreciates him. At this point, the father can make special references to the wedding vows.

The final section in the father of the bride wedding speech should comprise him proposing a toast for the wedding couple. To make this memorable, the speech can incorporate love quotes. Ideally, the father of the bride wedding speech should take 3-5 minutes. This will make time for other short wedding speeches. An example of a wedding speech is:

”Ladies and gentlemen, as the father of the bride I have the pleasure to welcome you to my daughters wedding. Thank you all for making time to come. Who would have thought that my little girl would mature so fast, and that within 30 years I would still want to hang around her and enjoy watching seeing her discovering her way in life? To bad, that she has discovered a man who is getting her away from me. Naturally as the dad, I want to have her around forever, but XX, I know you are happy with YY now, and that makes me even happier. I want the couple to know that I’m still working to make my marriage better so you should do the same, never at one time give up on each other, your mother not giving up on me and me not giving up on her is what has made our marriage last this far. They told me not to give a lengthy wedding ceremony speech, so I beg to leave it at that. Finally, I propose this toast for my beautiful daughter and her husband.”

Hi, I’m Imogen and I want to thank you for visiting my bride wedding speech site – I’m really flattered you found me and I hope I can help you plan your big day. When I got married to my partner recently I can honestly say that it was the best day of my life.It had none of that wedding day stress I had heard no much about, and No – I didn’t turn into a ‘bridezilla’, not even a little bit. Personally I think one of the reasons I was so relaxed is because I had my speech all worked out and I knew it was a great one!

I didn’t have a clue where to start but the information I found showed me exactly how to do it the right way. Click Here Now If You’d Like To Know How I Wrote My Bride Wedding Speech In a Little Over 2 Hours

I am naturally quite a shy person and I will admit that one of the greatest fears of my life has always been having to speak in public but about 6 months before the big day I decided that I wanted to write a wedding speech. At first I  had no clue how to do it, but I did some research on the internet and found some very useful information which really helped to make my wedding day such a huge success.

At first I kept putting starting my bridal toast off because I was really scared and then my fiance just told me to get on with it and stop worrying about it – he has always been the more practical one of the two of us :) . So I sat down and read the information I’d downloaded from the internet and I just started to write my speech. I really wanted everyone to enjoy themselves and I wanted them to remember what I said, it was very important to me that I got it right.

It took me just over 2 hours to finish it plus a bit more time for some editing. I couldn’t believe it, I followed everything in the bride wedding speech guide and it was far easier to do than I could have ever dreamed. I was so relieved, it was one less thing to worry about. I had many compliments from my guests, my mom and dad couldn’t believe that I’d have the confidence to stand up in front of everyone and actually do it but I did. Even my bridesmaids where stunned that I had delivered such a great speech, just the right mix of laugh out loud funny, and touching.

Anyway, like I said, I didn’t have a clue where to start but the information I found showed me exactly how to do it the right way. Click Here Now If You’d Like To Know How I Wrote My Bride Wedding Speech In a Little Over 2 Hours

Bride Wedding Speech – relax and have fun

I always knew that when my fiance and I decided to get married I would have to write a bride wedding speech, but I never knew how hard to write that speech was going to be! To be honest I even considered not to give a bridal speech and just play the demure wife. But the truth is that I always new I was going to make a speech, but I just left it for weeks and weeks before I acknowledged that I was going to have to get down to it and actually write the thing.

So some early advice from me is to write your speech early, and then you can enjoy all the fun of the lead up. Getting married can be stressful enough without adding to that stress!

When you first start thinking about your bridal speech it can seem like a really daunting challenge. After all, no one likes speaking in public, I know I don’t, but to do it in front of your closest family, friends and new in-laws on your own wedding day is just nerve wracking. I wanted to be fighting back tears of joy on the day not tears because I had made a fool of myself.

As the big day drew closer I tried to think of a bride wedding speech that would be inspirational, charming, hilarious and captured all the love and emotion of the day, and how I truly felt about my special man and it just wasn’t coming to me. Then I tried the inspirational approach of just writing down the things that popped into my head and hoping there would be some gems amongst them – I actually came up with random thoughts on the wedding, but nothing on the wedding toast lol.

Trust me there are more efficient ways to plan a bridal wedding toast, but I’ve got to be honest that at least this got me started rather than waiting for the perfect speech to somehow descend from the skies.

Eventually I started using speech prompts and guides and I soon started to jot down little bits of information about my fiance and bridal party, along with other special people I wanted to mention. When we first met, when I knew he was the one, how long they’ve been together, what makes my man so special and how I knew we would be together for the rest of our lives. It really helped me to put into words just his love has meant to my my life and what a joyous day this was.

In the early stages I found it’s best not to worry about the trying to write the complete speech, or the order or spending hours trying to come up with the perfect joke or the perfect expression of my love. The biggest block to getting the perfect wedding speech is never actually starting to write it! So by jotting down my thoughts I was already over the first major hurdle for my bride wedding speech.

Now isn’t it time to actually start yours :)
